Book Rides Online offers free live GPS Fleet Tracking with all three of our package options. Here’s what you need to know about Fleet Tracking and how to get started.

First, you will need all of your drivers to download our new driver app. This app can be found and downloaded for free in both the iTunes store and the GooglePlay store. When they open the app, the first thing that will be required of them is to sign into their account. They can sign in using the same username and password that they use to sign into their current BRO account. They will have been sent this when you first set them up as a driver in the system.

As soon as they are into the app, they will be asked to allow both background tracking as well as fitness/movement information tracking. Droid tends to not ask for the permissions and just allows them. In order for your drivers to be tracked for fleet tracking purposes, your drivers will need to allow both of these options. If they do not, you cannot track them properly.

Please note: If at any time it seems like the tracking isn’t tracking properly, first have the drivers check their phone settings. They should be able to look at the specific settings for the BRO App and they will need to ensure that they’ve fully enabled the tracking options.

Currently we’ve programmed the driver app to track drivers when they begin moving and turn off if they stay in one place for a prolonged period of time. It will turn back on again if they begin moving again. This allows the tracking to be consistent but not drain your driver’s battery when they are not even working. If they have the app open and are actively using it for a trip, it will track them live while they work.

Once your drivers have the app downloaded and their settings set to allow background tracking, you can find each driver geo-located on the map as soon as they start moving within your account. Here’s where you can find them:


Every driver who has the app downloaded appropriately will appear in this box. You can click their names and the car that is their geo-marker will pop up a window with the last time stamped locating information. If you want to refresh the page, you can press the refresh button in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

Please note: Fleet Tracking is only available for viewing within certain team user accounts (ie drivers cannot see fleet tracking from within their accounts etc).
